ARP Collective Presents 3205 Space

This February the ARP Collective will be having there first official show. It will be hosted by our new space we are calling 3205 Space. Located at our home in Austin, Texas. 

We are planning an ongoing series of shows. The first is scheduled for the beginning of February. The second will take place in March. 

We have been wanted to start curating shows for some time now. I feel like 2012 is as good a time as any to turn this idea into reality.

Finally...New painting

I started this painting a long time ago and have recently finished it. It was strange working on this. I went into it with the intention of making it abstract but for some reason was having difficulty making any decisions when it came to the piece. I has been hanging on my wall for almost 6 months. About a month ago, i sat down in front of it and realized that it was done. There was one small thing i worked on a bit then done. 

Strange how that happens. Some times all it takes is a little time to realize a painting is completed. I am happy I didn't continue adding paint. It would have just kept changing and changing. And I, most likely would have kept arriving at the same place i did 6 months ago.

I call it "Water Collectors". It is oil on paper, about 32" wide x 46" tall.
